1. Acceptance

By downloading or using PickleBack, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. What PickleBack Is

PickleBack is a free recreational tool for recording and verifying casual pickleball match results. It is not a league management platform, a ranking system, a social network, or an officiating service. Match records are self-reported and opponent-verified — PickleBack does not independently verify that scores reflect real-world events. There is no charge to use the app and no in-app purchases.

3. Your Identity

Your identity in PickleBack is a cryptographic keypair generated on your device at first launch. You are responsible for your device. Loss of your device means loss of your identity and access to your match history. We do not provide identity recovery.

4. Match Records

Confirmed matches are intended to be permanent. They cannot be edited by any player.
Disputed matches appear in history with a DISPUTED label. They do not count toward win/loss records.
Your display name is snapshotted into a match record when the session starts. Changing your display name later does not alter past records.
You agree to submit scores in good faith. Submitting false scores is a violation of these Terms.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Abuse the dispute mechanism to prevent opponents from recording accurate results
Use the app to harass other players
Attempt to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or abuse the relay server
Use automated clients or bots to interact with the relay

6. No Warranties

PickleBack is a free app provided "as is" with no warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, data durability, or that the app will function on any specific device or OS version.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of PickleBack is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of match history due to device loss, relay downtime, or data corruption.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
